Nottinghamshire Kidney Units Appeal

We are a very small enthusiastic group, (currently 7 people) who raise money to purchase clinical equipment for Nottingham City and Mansfield Kings Mill hospitals Kidney Units’ and to fund research through Kidney Research UK to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for kidney disease.

Formed in 2002, we are supported by a Community Fundraising manager, Eileen Bagguley, who is employed by Kidney Research UK and between us we plan, co-ordinate and carry-out events all year to raise money which is then divided 50/50 between the local renal units’ and Kidney Research UK.

Including Trust Fund income, the Appeal raised £66,000 under Phase 1 that enabled the supply and use of a mobile dialysis van for 3 years, and our Phase 2 target of £97,000 has just been achieved which will purchase equipment identified by the local renal units’.

We would welcome volunteers to join us.
