Marathon man Martin Shields conquers NY!

On Sunday 5th November, marathon man Martin Shields successfully completed the New York Marathon. Martin has already run in the London Marathon on our behalf, and is aiming to raise £10,000 in sponsorship money!

"Taking part in the New York Marathon for Kidney Research UK was worth every minute. The marathon is a great personal challenge, but also a thoroughly exhausting one! However, the sense of satisfaction at the end is incredibly rewarding.

"It was a great feeling of achievement to return home with the medal, t-shirt and complimentary blister or two!

"The whole trip was fantastic and I will remember Sunday 5th November 2006 for a very long time. I'm already looking forward to London 2007!"
