A successful kidney transplant for her brother inspired Rebecca Ayres and her best friend Victoria Glass to hold a charity auction of promises, live music and comedy night to raise money for Kidney Research UK. “Ever since my brother had a successful kidney transplant in September 2005, after a lifetime of kidney problems and almost two years on dialysis, I've been amazed at how well Kidney Research UK continues to offer its constant support to sufferers and their families, and the fantastic work it does to further research and new treatments for kidney patients. "When my best friend Victoria suggested that we put together a charity auction to say thank you and raise some much needed funds for Kidney Research UK I jumped at the chance, and now a few months later, we are delighted to be hosting an evening of comedy, music and an auction of promises at beautiful London venue, The Menier Chocolate Factory”. If you fancy an evening of laugh out loud comedy, live music, wine, and the chance to try your luck at winning a few fantastic prizes, come down to The Menier Chocolate Factory on Monday 5th March and be entertained by comedy acts: Big Day Out (Edinburgh Fringe), Strange Bedfellows, award winning actress Hetty Baynes, and be in with the chance to bid for: Parachute Jump, donated by Skyline Luxury Hamper from The Ethical Food Company Luxury facial worth £100 from Shymala Ayurvedic Spa, Holland Park Holistic therapy treatment from the Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park Day spa treatment from The Sanctuary Spa, Covent Garden Treatment from The Calmia Spa, Marylebone 2 nights at The Hoxton Hotel, London Community Fundraising Manager, Helen Haynes, says, “This event is going to be a great night out and we are delighted and proud to be associated with it.
