Partnership

Our work on funding research leading to improved management, treatment and prevention of kidney disease would not be possible without the generosity of our many supporters.

We are very grateful for the support we receive from corporate partners, other research institutions and charities, pharmaceutical companies, charitable trusts, individual donors and other funding bodies, including the Government.

This support is vital for the progress of our work. Research is expensive and we rely on major donations to support us in:

  • improving an understanding of kidney disease, its causes, prevention and treatment
  • supporting our scientists
  • investing in training of a new generation of medical researchers
  • investing in clinical trials
  • providing Kidney Health Information
  • raising awareness of kidney disease
  • improving patient care

We have developed a number of partnership opportunities over recent years which allow us to work together with 'like-minded' organisations, in order to meet clear patient needs now, and in the future, and to develop improved patient treatment programmes.

These initiatives cover a range of activities from basic science projects through to clinical and epidemiological studies as well as awareness and educational programmes. This approach allows us to engage with a number of audiences involved in the care of renal patients.

Kidney Research UK prides itself on the outcomes of the partnerships already achieved and are keen to develop this area further in order to seek new opportunities to help us combat kidney disease. We would welcome an opportunity to explore areas of possible mutual interest.

Please contact us if you would like to find out more about our work and the difference your support could make.

Kidney Research UK endorses the principles laid out in it's own policy 'Kidney Research UK Policy on working with the Pharmaceutical Industry and Corporate Trusts'.
