London Bridges Walk 2007

London Bridges Walk 2007 took place on 24th June and proved to be a huge success, attracting around 1,500 walkers.

Helen Haynes, event organiser, says 'The wet weather did nothing to dampen the spirits of over 1,500 walkers as they crossed 8 of London's bridges in aid of Kidney Research UK. They all had a great time while raising vital funds for the charity. We are expecting the amount raised to be well over £100,000 - a record amount for a Kidney Research UK event and we are absolutely delighted with this result. We want to extend our grateful thanks to the many sponsors and supporters who helped make this walk possible, as well as a team of dedicated volunteers and of course the participants themselves who raise thousands of pounds for people with kidney disease. Thank you to them all for helping to fund research to save lives!'
