Eric Martindale and the Glasgow 10k

Eric Martindale recently took part in the Glasgow 10k run and completed the race in an impressive 48 minutes. Eric who usually takes part in sprint races decided at the ripe old age of 54 to take a step up and complete the 10 kilometre event.

He decided to run the event in aid of Kidney Research UK because his father is 85 and is now on Haemodialysis, and becasue of Eric's achievements at the Glasgow 10k he managed to raise over £420 to go towards life saving research.

Eric only recently retired as a Football referee after 25 years, 12 of those where at the top level including officiating at the Bernabeau Stadium in Madrid on two occasions.
