Ex British water skier signs up for TriathlonEx-British Waterskiing Team member Jeremy Newby-Ricci has just signed up to complete the 2008 Mazda London Triathlon. Jeremy, who retired from competition two years ago following a back injury, completed the cycling leg of last year's event in London as a last minute stand in to help some friends out who were a man down. "It was an amazing event to be a part of last year, very well organised and with categories to suit all abilities, there was a real mix of competitors from young to old and from Professional Triathletes to people giving it their first try" said Jeremy. "I even saw one bike with a shopping basket on it...!! As the Country's fastest growing Sport with thousands of Spectators and well wishers all over the course it was an amazing experience. Based on last year I have chosen to compete in all three legs (swim, cycle and run) rather than just the cycling leg of the Team relay and have selected the furthest distance in the hope of raising the most for Kidney Research, a charity that is very special to me." Please visit Jeremy's fundraising page at: www.justgiving.com/jeznewby-ricci The Olympic distance is 1500m Open Waters Swim followed by a 40km Cycle followed by a 10km run, for the slightly less ambitious the Supersprint might be just you're "cup of tea" with a 400m Swim, 10km Bike and 2.5km Run or why not enter as a Team?
