Vic Wilkinson (head teacher) and two friends, Andy Maynard and Vic Steers drove almost 2,000 miles from Nottinghamshire to John ‘o’ Groats to Lands End and back again in a vintage Landrover.

Together along with the children from his school (Whitwell Primary School) they have raised £5074.50 for Kidney Research UK. Vic Wilkinson wanted to raise money for this charity after his son was born with a dysfunctional kidney in 2000. It was a traumatic time for all the family and a time when they really began to appreciate the work of Kidney Research UK.
