We have a guaranteed number of places for a variety of marathons, half-marathons, and fun-runs across the country, including the Flora London Marathon and the Great North Run. We could be your only chance to take part in these heavily over-subscribed events, and you will also have the chance to benefit from our support in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself.
The British 10k, London - 6th July 2008 *NEW EVENT*
Thank you to all our runners who took part in the British 10k in our first year with the event. It was a great success for us with over 20 participants taking part on our behalf.
The Mazda London Triathlon 2008 - 9th & 10th August 2008 *NEW EVENT*
The Mazda London Triathlon was a great success for the charity in our first year involved and we had 12 participants take part. Thank you to all those who did for your fantastic fundraising efforts.

Adidas Women’s 5K Challenge 2008-7th September 2008
Entries are now open for this fantastic event! To enter on behalf of Kidney Research UK, please go to www.womenschallenge.co.uk, and select Kidney Research UK from the drop down menu. £5 of your £15 registration fee is then automatically bequeathed to Kidney Research UK! Once you have a confirmed place with the organisers, simply contact our Events Team on 08456 12 12 26 or email events@kidneyresearchuk.org in order to receive a fundraising pack.
BUPA Great North Run - Newcastle - Sunday 5th October 2008
The BUPA Great North Run attracts around 50,000 participants each year, and boasts an array of elite athletes, celebrities, and charity runners. Come and join our team!

BUPA Great South Run - Portsmouth - Sunday 26th October 2008
Take part in this 10-mile BUPA Great South Run. Over 11,000 runners finished the UK's leading 10-mile running event in 2007. The elite atheletes set off from Clarence Esplanade and were soon followed by the celebrities, club runners, and thousands of charity runners, all who made their way past the landmarks along the route, including the Historic Dockyard at Victory Gate and the South Parade Pier on the seafront.

Big Fun Run - Various Locations & Dates in 2008
The Big Fun Run is a series of 5K runs open to all ages (people can also walk or jog around the 5K course). The 2008 Big Fun Runs will all take place in October in five cities around the UK. All events will be extremely well organised and will provide a great experience for all that take part.
The five locations are:
- Cardiff, Bute Park - Sunday 28th September 2008
- Glasgow, Bellahouston - Saturday 4th October 2008
- Edinburgh, Holyrood Park - Sunday 5th October 2008
- Derby, Darley Park/Markeaton Park - Saturday 11th October 2008
- Milton Keynes, Campbell Park - Sunday 12th October 2008

Flora London Marathon – 26th April 2009
The London Marathon is the most famous and prestigious marathon in the world and all who compete go home with a strong sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. This is a great opportunity to be part of a very special event.
Kidney Research UK has a limited number of guaranteed entries available. If you would like to register your interest in one of our places, please go to www.crunch.org.uk/kiduk and fill in the application form. If you have also applied in the online ballot, please supply the reference number you were given on completing your ballot entry, on your application to Crunch for a Golden Bond place.

Help our recycling appeal!
Kidney Research UK has joined forces with the Recycling Appeal to collect and recycle unwanted mobile phones and used printer cartridges.
You can send your old mobile phones or empty printer cartridges to us in a freepost envelope. If you collect empty cartridges and old phones at work, and get over eight items, we can arrange for their free collection.
