About the evening

Andrew joins the evening fresh from writing his new autobiography, Fast Forward. In this he speaks with frank honesty about not just football, but matters of race, youth crime, mental health, and of course, fame.

Former Manchester United striker Andrew Cole retired as a player in 2008 as one of the most successful strikers of all time. In his early forties, he was admitted to hospital with a focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. He had dangerously low kidney function and spent close to three weeks in hospital having a kidney biopsy and receiving haemodialysis.

He had a successful transplant in 2017 and is now living with all the new challenges post-transplant life brings.

All funds raised from the evening will help Kidney Research UK continue its vital work in finding how to help kidney patients now and in the future.
