A gift in your Will, also known as a legacy, is a donation you choose to leave to a cause you care about after providing for your loved ones.
Ways to leave a gift in your Will
- A share of your estate (residuary gift): After taking care of loved ones and any specific gifts, you can leave a percentage of what's left of your estate. This type of gift can retain its value over time and is often the most impactful.
- A fixed sum of money (pecuniary gift): You can choose to leave a specific amount of money to support future kidney research and patient care.
- A specific item (specific gift): This could be a valuable item such as property, jewellery, artwork or shares.
